Spiritual awakenings prove to be incredibly challenging, constituting some of the most difficult times Freya has faced. This is because she needs to question and shed aspects of herself and the world to gain wisdom and experience. Freya initially turned to spirituality as an outlet for her mental health struggles, being diagnosed with depression and anxiety following a traumatizing car accident. Despite multiple therapy sessions and various medications, Freya experienced adverse reactions, and her life became a downward spiral due to mental health issues. Realizing that her coping mechanisms were ineffective, Freya adopted a spiritual approach, recognizing unhealed traumas that needed addressing for personal healing and growth.

From a tender age, hair held a special place in Freya’s heart, and by 17, she immersed herself in a salon, dedicated to skill refinement through apprenticeship. Several years later, a new chapter unfolded as Freya delved into the world of dreadlocks, aligning with her decade-long journey mastering the art of hair.
