Lunar calendars remain in use today in many cultures, such as the Jewish calendar, Islamic calendar, Ethiopian and Celtic – to name a few.

About This Calendar

This calendar follows the lunar cycle with the new year of 2022 beginning on the new moon. The new moon comes at the beginning of the month until the Autumn Equinox – which is the pivot point – where the full moon comes at the beginning of the month. Which year during the Summer solstice the moon alternates the slow transition of the new moon/full moon moving throughout the months.

The new year starts in March and introduces the new month undecimber-undecim meaning “eleven” in Latin. – that comes after December. This makes October the 8th month and December the 10th month.
