The 13 Zodiac Signs
Believe it or not, there are actually 13 zodiac signs. The constellation Ophiuchus is the 13 zodiac sign. although 13 is often been deemed as an unlucky number, it actually holds a lot of significance.
*These dates are based upon a 13 month 28-day calendar with the introduction of the 13th month – Undecimber – that comes after December and before January. *
Aries (March 21 – April 19th)
The first astrological zodiac sign is Aries – a cardinal fire sign that is ruled by Mars and symbolized by the Ram.
Taurus (April 20th – May 20th)
The second astrological zodiac sign is Taurus – a fixed earth sign that is ruled by Venus and symbolized by the Bull.
Gemini (May 21 – June 21)
The third astrological zodiac sign is Gemini – a mutable air sign that is ruled by Mercury and is symbolized by the Twin
Cancer (June 22 – July 22)

Ophiuchus (November 22 – December 21)
The ninth astrological zodiac sign is Ophiuchus, this sign is a large constellation and is classified as the 13 zodiac sign. Ophiuchus is different from the other zodiacs as it does not fall into the categories of fire, earth, air or water, but it does fall into the 5th element of life – spirit/space. Its ruling planet is the planetoid Chiron and is symbolized by the serpent-bearer.
